Does your partner respect you?  This would appear to be a loaded question.  But in actuality, is is usually plain to anyone if they are respected.  If your partner asks your opinion or advise, if your partner is courteous enough to let you know if he or she is going to be late coming home or to an appointment, if your partner talks freely and openly with you about things that are bothering him or her, or if your partner demonstrates concern for your health or safety, we would say that you are respected.  Demonstrations of these types not only reflect respect for you; they reflect trust.  They let you know that your partner believes you to be intelligent and informed, that he or she believes your time to be of value, that he or she trusts you to be compassionate and caring, and that he or she has a real concern for your physical well being.

Ideally, you would be showing your partner the same respect, courtesy, trust and worth that you see he or she giving to you because all these things, over time, build on each other to establish a strong, lasting love.  Not the chemically induced love of initial physical attraction, but the calm, quiet love that endures for years..

Therefore, in our opinion, if you see these traits and behaviors in your partner, we would say that the answer to the question is yes, your partner still loves you.
